Well not much to write today but wanted to post some pictures that Nick got while he took Skyler to the fish hatchery to see all the baby fish and such. Enjoy!!!

Sky's 2nd Birthday!!

Skyler wanted to shave like dad so Nick helped him with that but with a spoon.

Once again it has been awhile since I have updated everyone on what is going on with us. We couldn't have had a nicer day for Skyler's 2nd birthday!! We spent the afternoon out on the deck enjoying the 70 degree weather and we even set up our new tent we got. Skyler had so much fun with everyone there and all his new gifts. Sarah and Dustin spent the weekend with us and Grandpa Shaffer and Great Grandpa Shaffer came out for cake and ice cream along with Grandpa & Grandma Pyle and Brent.

Skyler knew how to blow out his candles and got them both whipped in 2 blows. We did not even have to do a practice run although I thought we should have (little did I know he was a pro). Of course he is not a fan of cake so he had some oreo's for his cake. Thanks to everyone who could make Skyler's day special with your cards and presence. He loved Great Grandma's card with the train on it. Skyler thought the train looked like the Polar Express.

Other than that Nick has been keeping super busy with doing extra work on the side and I have been busy with Skyler. We keep busy for the most part and enjoy the weekends together. We have gotten into a card club with our friends and it is so much fun to get together as most of them have kids as well so it gives us all an excuse to get out of the house!!!

Colds all around

Well is has been an interested start to our week so far. Skyler came down with a fever on Sunday and had it until yesterday. The doctor said he just had a viral infection and he should be over it soon. He was definitely back to his old self last night and finally slept all night last night!!! I on the other hand have been battling a cold since Friday and when you are limited to what you can take while your pregnant makes it fun. For the most part I am just congested so it could be worse.

Nick is working at his new job well and it is not his favorite place. Right now he is helping the company do catch up work and he hates it. Hopefully it will get better for him as it is not challenging and he likes a challenge in a job. Overall though we are doing well and it looks like we are in for some warmer weather this week. I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Where has the time gone

It has been awhile since I have posted so I thought I better get to updating but this will be brief as I have a lot to get done tonight. If you haven't already heard the news we are expecting another baby in August around the 25th. Things have been going well with very little sickness!!

Nick has taken a job with Bedford Industries in Worthington Minnesota. This company is the company that patented the twistie tie if I am correct.

As far as Skyler he is becoming quite the little independent guy. He is really getting good at putting puzzles together and is starting to memorize words to books. We are working on the potty training and that has been trying but we are slowly but surely making progress!!!

The weather has been amazing the last week. Temps in the 40's and over half of the snow in our yard is melted and gone!!!! Amazing with all the drifts and piles we had a couple weeks ago. I'm sure we are in for more snow yet as it is only February. I hope everyone is doing well!!

Well we haven't been up to much this week except for staying in where it is warm!!! Nick had an interview last Friday and another interview today so hopefully he is on the right track and will have a job sooner than later. In the meantime he is going to work for a friend Curt at his repair shop until he finds something. Skyler got to play outside this weekend as it was finally warm enough to be out. We had temps of -27 without the windchill, last week Thursday so you can imagine why we stay inside!!! The pictures of drifts are from the high winds we had a couple of the days last week!! There is also a picture of a furry raccoon we had come stay on our doorstep...LOL. Allie was not a big fan of this little guy.
