August 4th

Hello again everyone!!! It has been awhile but we have been super busy. It has been fun getting adjusted to a new routine once again but we are surviving. Nick is on the road during the week days and home on the weekends. Skyler has been even more fun. He has been lots of new phrases and just got in his 13th tooth soon his mouth will be full. Skyler also go to enjoy his first parade this past weekend. He has been busy scooting around outside on his little 4 wheeler. He also potty on the potty chair for the first time this morning!!!! We are making progress. Other than that we are all healthy and happy to be back in Northwest Iowa. Hopefully next post I will have pictures to put up.

The House & Strawberries

Well in the mix of adding pictures of the house progress I forgot to add the pictures of Skyler at the strawberry patch with me picking strawberries so here are the pictures!!! One of Sky and Allie and I out playing in the yard. Also the house is almost finished but by the pictures you can't really tell that we have a few pieces of wood around the windows left to put on, on the first floor. I need to finish painting them this week!!!

As far as Sky he is doing great!!! He talks more and more every day. Now he is saying night night, all done, of course Allie and boball for snowball. He is doing great at his new sitter.

My job is going great a Pure Fishing. I am very impressed with how well they treat their employees. I've been keeping busy with the house and Sky and the pets since Nick is back on the road for work. Thank goodness we are mostly settled in so that makes things easier. That's all for now, hope everyone is doing well!!!

Siding

We are back in action with working on the house so I thought I would put some pictures on here for everyone to see how the siding project is coming. I think the house will look tons better when it is finished. My first day of work went very well and Sky's first day at the sitter went well also. He was quiet for quite awhile just getting used to all the new people but he finally warmed up and started his jabbering!!!! You can tell he misses his old sitter and friends in Davenport. They gave him a picture with the group and he looks at it every day, carries it around and smiles!!! All in all we are doing very well. Nick is on vacation for the week to get this house done!!

Home Again

Skyler's first encounter with women. He was having so much fun chasing them at the wedding reception that he fell for them literally. He had a bloody nose and 2 bloody lips. He didn't mind because right after he fell he got right back up and kept chasing them.

Skyler's first visit to the zoo. We went with friends Jen and Abby to the Sioux falls zoo today and Sky loved feeding the goats he could have done it all day.

Well it has been a little while since we have updated so there are a lot of pictures I am putting on with this post. Currently we are sort of moved in. Just lots of stuff to unpack yet but we are getting there. We will start siding our house probably tomorrow and all through next week weather permitting.

New Job!!

Well I heard from Pure Fishing on Wednesday and they offered me the job so I will start there on July 7. Everything is going well in regards to getting moved. For everyone who needs to update their address book again our old/new address is 2174 Tyler Ave, Ocheyedan IA 51354.

Well we didn't escape the flooding on the Mississippi. I came to work on Monday to a bank with water on all sides. The river crested on Tuesday and water was within a foot of the doors. We only had some water in the vents though so all turned out very well. When I get a chance I will put pictures up. Also we have limited computer access for a couple weeks so if you NEED to get a hold of us phone will be your best bet.Publish Post

Busy and Wet

It has been a super busy week for our families. I had an interview last week with a fishing company in Spirit Lake Iowa and I had a second interview today and hopefully I hear next week. We are getting things in order to move back but we had a little problem today. When I was home I found at least 2 feet of water in our basement maybe as high as 3 feet. So we are finally getting that all dried out but we can't seem to shake the wet weather we have been having here in eastern Iowa.

It's been busy for us keeping up with all 3 of our sibling all in cities that are having terrible flooding. We hope all will come to an end real soon and the rivers will start to recede. So far the Mississippi is holding up here but doesn't sound like it will for much longer. Please keep all of the people that have lost everything to the floods in your thoughts and prayers!! Thankfully Sarah is on higher ground!!!

On the Farm

Skyler had his first big outing on the farm with his friend Christopher. He was such a big boy and helped Christopher feed the cows!!!

Besides that we have super exciting news!!! WE ARE MOVING BACK TO NORTHWEST IOWA AT THE END OF THE MONTH!! Nick's company offered him a remote location job since we have not been able to get the house sold so once again we are moving and I hope it is for the last time. I'm not a huge fan of packing so much. Anyways that is all we have for news. I hope everyone is doing well.
